Hi. I know i’m far from applying for a PR but will my application in the future be affected if I leave my current company and change into a different company?
I have been working part time for 3 years (student visa) for this company and now 2 years (working visa). I’m also paying for the loan they gave me for going to school for 3years (which they own btw). i’m thinking of leaving and going into a different prefecture.
Any input will be appreciated.

No, it won’t affect your future application.

I hope you’re making at least 3 Million yen, because that’s the requirement for PR.
You need to be making 3M for 3 consecutive years to be eligible for PR.
If in one of those 3 years your salary don’t reach 3M, it will not count.
You also need proof of pension payment for the last 3 years.

10 years in Japan
5 years working on same company above 3.5m salary.
penson, tax , insurance all cleared as paid by company salary deduction.

It won’t but one thing to be careful of is that your eligibility for a PR might change based on your age and salary.
I’ve learned this the hard way recently, never though you could go backwards once you were eligible, but you can.
