Anyone here use AU Hikari internet? Thoughts?

I’ve been using Flets Hikari / TCOM for the past ten years. It’s what I signed up for when I first moved here and kinda just stuck with it out of laziness.

Haven’t had issues with it until recently, with speeds being a bit lackluster at times.

Only reason I’m considering AU is because I already have them for phone and power, so it’d be nice to bundle together all my payments.

Anyone know if the transfer is easy, and if I should expect any additional transfer fees or internet downtime?

  1. I have the 10g connection and it rips. I usually hover around 3-5 gigs during the day but overnight, I’ve hit 7.5 up and down. It’s almost always faster than whatever server I’m connected to.

Anyway, I’ve literally never had an issue with the connection. It’s awesome.

  2. I have the 1g home connection, daytime I get 500+, nighttime 950+.

I wish they did let us use our own routers, their home gateway is always included in the bundle. You need to clone the mac address and proxy EAP packets if you want to use your own.
