Nice cafes near Yokohma Station

Im looking for a nice cafe near yokohama station where you can sit down and talk with someone. Of course I know about Starbucks but I was wondering if there were any other places people would recommend?

I live in Tokyo so im still not too familiar with Yokohama

Edit:
I saw someone mention Sakuragicho.. Is there any good places in that area?

  1. Not a lot near Yokohama that isn’t kind of sketchy unless you stick to the adjacent shopping malls, luckily there’s a bunch of them so there’s a decent amount of choices

  2. Yokohama station is one of the most busy stations in the world. Try Sakuragicho. Better view, more relaxing then Yoko station

  3. I’d actually recommend one station over at Minato Mirai, that place is absolutely perfect for dates, meetings with friends, just walking around.

Tons of restaurants, cafes and little parks on the water.

  4. Sakuragicho and Minato Mirai are better in terms of selection and view.

If you are really dead set on doing something at Yokohama Station there’s a small coffee shop called Yokohama Drop Coffee that isn’t terrible.

  5. Sadly Yokohama isn’t that great in terms of cafe’s. Zebra coffee has nice views and atmosphere but coffee is only OK. City bakery is good, but there’s almost never seats (especially if it is a weekend ) since its quite small. There is also a chain called Uni coffee that is also alright. Sakuragicho? Not much besides Starbucks. Same goes for Minato Mirai.

  6. Bay Quarter at Yokohama Station has several cafes overlooking the ocean.

M.M. Market and Cafe is very good in Minato Mirai, good food and fairly open atmosphere. You can sit outside during warmer weather, too.

  7. Zebra coffee in the Marine walk is closest to MinatoMirai station or Sakuragicho, is pretty large, and nice sofas for lounging with an ocean view: https://zebra-coffee.com/visit/shop-yokohama/

If you walk from MinatoMirai, it is a nice 10min walk along the ocean. If you walk from Sakuragicho, it is a nice 12-15 min walk along the waterway or you can take the cable car to world porters and make it a shorter walk, but the cable cars is a bit expensive.

  8. Unfortunately the area around Yokohama station is a shithole, that’s why everyone is recommending other places 😅
