Did you bring a hookah with you? I’ve had no luck finding a source here with decent hookahs, and the crap stuff is expensive too, so I’ve been thinking about importing or bringing one back on my next visit to the US.
I don’t smoke but there is a hookah shop right next to Osu Kannon in Nagoya (not so extremely far from Ise, couple hours max) and I expect they should be able to tell you where to buy shisha.
Shisha-mart.com is based in Okinawa and they have quite good stuff. I’ve also good experiences with hookah-shisha.com which isnt in Japan, but has a bigger catalog and ships internationally. I found for big purchases they sometimes did free shipping but I wouldn’t use them for simple re-ups.
