  1. From L to R starting with the top row, Akami (Bluefin), Chu-Toro, O-Toro, Fatty Salmon Belly, Hamachi-Hana, and then Hotate (Scallop) on the bottom. The next image is warm Anago.

    I have indulged a bit over the holidays and am trying to be mindful of my calories, just did a quick calculation and this meal is close to 1300 calories on its own!! TBH, didn’t realize that plain sushi could be so caloric!

    One of the nice things about this one was that each piece had a touch of wasabi already placed underneath the fish. That’s standard in high-end restaurants and Japan, but this was from a hole-in-the-wall sushi joint in the suburbs.

  2. Nigiri means “to grip” literally 握り I cant really tell how shape the rice is but wasabi inside is good good. Looks delicious
