Hello,
I’m studying two degrees at the same time of Business Administration and Law, due to that my GPA is not really high it should be between 2.5 or 3 (I’m from Spain so I’m not sure of the exact rate change). I’ve been searching to study a master degree in Japan in a National University after finishing my degree, but I’m not sure if my GPA will be high enough to enter a National University since apparently they are super hard to join. Does someone know if GPA is important in order to enter? Or they will take more in consideration that I have two degrees instead of one like most of the people.
Also, if somebody knows where I could find more english degree programs from local universities, cause apparently there arent many.
I have tried to search the GPA on the internet but no website mentions it, and the admission pages of the different universities only mention that the academic record will be taken into account.
Thank you so much.

Well then there’s your answer. If there’s a finite number of seats available for admission every year, the importance of GPA is likely going to be impacted by the GPA’s of everyone applying. If everyone else’s is high and yours isn’t, less likely to get in. But everyone else’s is also bad, your chances of admission go up.
GPA is usually not important. Important is degree and passing the exam (EJU or entrance exam).
Not sure if having two degrees will do any difference.
Waseda, for example, offers review of eligibility where you can check it you’re meeting the requirements.
If you are going masters or PhD, try making connections with the professors (and know their area of research up front!). I’m in Chemical Engineering and had the opportunity to meet several professors at semiconductor and other chemE conventions and each time I had the Japanese professors (and one European one) asking me to come join their program and get my PhD while doing research for them and assisting my potential peers with English in the technical subject…
