Best use of National Travel Support coupons

Hi all!
We have recently moved to Japan and are in that honeymoon period where we can luckily travel around the country and see a lot of beautiful things.
As such, we are doing a few road trips and have already benefitted from the National Travel Support scheme during our first road trip through Hokkaido.
We will have two other road trips in the next few months and are starting to book hotels that luckily offer the National Travel Support Discount + the vouchers.
Now here is our question: what do you think is the best use of these coupons?
We have previously used them on food and souvenirs (ofc) but we were also able to use them at a toy shop, at a Hard-Off/Book-off to buy a discounted used Switch for instance.
The amount of money offered with these coupons often exceeds our food budget so we would love to have your recommendations on other ways to use them 🙂

The bulk of the program is ending March 31st. Some prefecture has announced that it planned to extend, but I don’t think anything concrete has been announced.

  2. What is there to recommend when it’s just cash value, not a % discount, so there’s no better or worse way to spend it? Whatever establishment accepts it and offers whatever you’re into/would’ve spent money on anyway, which are going to depend on the locale and yourselves.
