I have been looking around and have been getting scorching reviews and “everything went fine” reviews on Viagogo.
I had gotten some tickets for Bjork (March 31st) at Ariake Theater and I am concerned about the possibility of getting in or not with these tickets. Would it be possible to buy directly from the venue again if they happened to get turned away? I have never went to a concert as big as Bjork’s ever, nor in Japan (save for very small artists where I’d just pay 3,000 yen at the door or something)
What’s your experience like?

Quick little update, ever since 2/18 more tickets have began selling on the official site.
I bought an S seat from Viagogo and now I have an official A seat ticket. I’ll be trying the S seat ticket first of course and will come back to update on that (and attempt to refund it if I couldn’t use it, especially since it was 2x the original price). But I’m relieved I have a back up.
Hurry and grab your A seat ticket if you haven’t already and want to see Bjork!

In Japan it is illegal to sell tickets over face value, so tickets sellers like ticket PIA have their own resell sites where people can put their unwanted tickets. All of these are at face value, which is great for those of us who missed the first chance to buy a ticket or who want to upgrade.
For example I tried to buy VIP tickets for Lady Gaga which were face value Â¥100,000. I couldn’t get them when the tickets went on sale, so settled for Â¥30,000 regular tickets for both shows.
After that I checked ViaGoGo and they were selling VIP tickets for ¥300,000 each, I passed. Later I saw ticket PIA open up their reselling site once the tickets were digitally allocated to the people who had bought them. Lots of VIP tickets were available for the original ¥100,000 as well as regular ¥30,000 tickets. I bought my face value VIP tickets, and sold my regular tickets face value to a friend.
There are several people who either changed their mind about buying the tickets they were allocated or just couldn’t go. Ticket PIA takes a service charge from the people who are reselling their tickets, and sells them at face value to new customers.
It’s great! I hate that Ticketmaster in the US allows people to resell tickets at whatever price they want. Another plus for living in Japan.
