Nice! I had the Ozeki dry sake 180ml bottle for the first time at a conveyor belt sushi place in London last night and it was surprisingly good 🙂
I wanted to try it for so long and I didn’t quite like it when I did 🙁
On the other hand Japanese Beer is amazing, I really liked Asahi and Sapporo
They are everywhere, not super quality stuff tho but it gets the job done
I think you’ll be happy to learn that this is considered to be one of the lowest quality sakes on the market. That might sound bad, but it means that you have an incredible world of a new favorite drink to enjoy!
These are for the train ride home…or to work…probably.
The choice of students and drunken recently fired salarymen everywhere!
The best thing about those mini bottles is getting from the vending machines hot and then just holding them in your hands as you sip them on a cold day. It might be low grade but that’s not what I love these for. Even after moving back to America I buy these and warm them up and hold them when it gets cold.
Learned about these playing Yakuza 7
When I lived in Japan, there was an old alcoholic guy who would sit outside of the local supermarket and drink those. When he scrounged up more change, he would go back in and buy another one. All day. Every day.
I seen saki bombs. (Shaped round .. like a grenade).
I got one of these at a 7/11 in Taiwan recently called “the cup”. Was very good and very cheap.
These were a thing when I lived in Japan 30 years ago.
People actually drink these? I see them all the time at the DIY stores next to the other grave site supplies to leave at the family grave so Ojisan who passed away 20 years ago can have some sake…
