Where to Buy Genki Tadoku Readers?

So I saved up money to get the Genki Tadoku books that released this weekend. (Not interested in discussing whether ppl think it’s worth the money)

I had preordered them from Amazon JP from the links:

They haven’t shipped yet and are now showing delivery for like end of April when they do ship. I can’t seem to find them for sale anywhere that ships to Canada or the US. Has anyone successfully gotten their hands on these? Where did you get them?

  1. I believe Amazon Japan is your best bet at the moment. I requested my library to purchase them but although they confirmed the purchase, it ususally takes 6-9 months for book from Japan to appear on this library’s shelves. Please keep us updated!

  2. I know you’re not personally interested in hearing whether or not it’s worth the money, but is there anyone that could give me their opinion on the cost? Graded readers have been the hardest for me to find at the N5 going towards N4 level. I’ve tried the numerous graded reader materials people post here, but there’s not a lot of free resources, and or are terribly graded. Multiple stories with the same level have wildly varying vocab, grammar, and kanji without furigana.

Genki seems to be great for going from no Japanese to solid N4ish area. At least, that’s what I’m told on all sides of the internet. So far, it has been true for me as well, so I’m betting they are likely quite good. But I am also poor, so trying not to spend money on Japanese things without getting a few opinions on it first.
