Apps for beginners trying to learn to read

Are there any apps (paid or unpaid) that allows me to read whatever (news, stories, etc) at a beginner level that can gradually go up in difficulty?

Preferably something with a built in dictionary too

  1. Satori Reader fits closest to what you are looking for, but I usually don’t recommend it for beginners who are just starting with reading in Japanese.

There are many reading resources available for beginners that I personally think fit better for a very first reading experience although they aren’t as conveniently in a app with a dictionary:

    * [Tadoku Free Graded Readers](https://tadoku.org/japanese/free-books/) – fiction and non-fiction, downloadable pdfs, audio options
    * [YomuJP (Nihongo Tadoku Dōjō](https://yomujp.com/n5/)) – non-fiction, read in browser, audio options
    * [Sakura Tadoku Lab](https://jgrpg-sakura.com/library/) – registration required, fiction, downloadable epub

    [and many more](https://dokushoclub.com/free-reading-resources/n5-free-reading-resources/).
