2. From when I was over there in November of last year.

   I’d done a [really nice omakase set](https://reddit.com/r/sushi/comments/bmk4rt/first_ever_omakase_experience_sushi_ginza_onodera/) the last time I was over there in 2019. This time I wanted more everyday “real life” experiences, so I stopped in at the basement level food floor at Isetan – a major department store in Shinjuku. You can find just about anything there – a grocery area with seafood, vegetables, wagyu beef… bakeries… tea shops… a specialty shop just for nori… wine and liquor, etc. Obviously I had to check out the sushi section.

I’m fairly certain that hon-maguro, katsuo, and aji were three of them. Not sure about the other three. 1480 Yen, or $10.82 at today’s exchange rate.

   If you pick something up for lunch you can head up to the roof where there’s a pretty chill open green area and eat there. I honestly thought it was all pretty respectable. I’ve had worse at a few restaurants in the US 😂

3. Beautiful! I love the look and overall better sense of quality than I’d expect int eh states. The clam set in particular looks delectable. I’m surprised there are some inside-out rolls.

   Very American question, but would you ever purchase two of those containers? I’d be tempted to go with two for a full lunch, or at least, the clam one looks a little light, the tuna seems much more substantial.

5. Can’t beat sushi in Japan you know everything u eat is top quality and presentation is top notch 🤙🤙🤙🤙
