Bit of a long shot, but has anyone else signed up as a volunteer at EVO Japan 2023? (For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a fighting game tournament being held at Tokyo Big Sight at the end of the month.) I sent an application through the application form on the website in early February (in Japanese) but haven’t gotten any response whatsoever. I also sent a follow-up message (also in Japanese) in the inquiry form on the website. They put out a Tweet last week that applications close on 1st March, so applications have now closed and I still have no news on whether I’m going to be working as a volunteer or not. Anyone else in the same boat?

If you didn’t hear back, you’re probably not getting anything. Going to the tournament myself. Really looking forward to it even though I’ve been stickless since moving here, so I’m about to get fucking minced in the games.
