meeting in-laws next week, utterly nervous.

This meeting is to know each other, since he already explained the situation, he wants to move to my country, I’m pregnant and they are really happy about it , yet we haven’t met .

I have some really basic Japanese knowledge (can understand it more than speak) so he will be translating .
I don’t want to seem rude , I’m afraid I may smile too much due to stress or do something that may annoy them.

Any tips ?

  1. 1. You can’t smile to much

    2. You’re not going to annoy them

    3. Relax it’s going to go fine they’ll love you, impending procreation tends to make in-laws very very happy

  2. If they’re already happy, then you’re off to a good start. They’re just people; treat them good and go with your instincts. There’s no magic bullet you’ll find online to make this easier.

  3. Photos are a good way to bridge a language barrier. Photos of your family, pets, vacation, etc.
