Nomihoudai wine bar in Tokyo?

I’ve seen this for nihonshu, but never wine. Does anyone know a place? Alternatively, a place that does horizontal tastings would good too. Cheers!

  1. Go to Saizeriya and order by the bottle / carafe. You can thank me later.

Unless you are paying a massive amount of cash for the nomihodai 1man+ ? The quality of the nomihodai wine will probably be worse than Saizeriya.

If you want to pay that much you might as well go to a nice wine bar and order by the glass.

  2. There’s an Esola in Shinjuku apparently (Italian izakaya chain), they have a wine buffet.

  3. Cona. They have a few branches but I’ve only been to the Azabu Juban one. Not sure the wine is amazing quality though.

  4. Esola and DiPunto.

At Esola you select and pour your own wines, including sparkling, which is novel. DiPunto is a slight step up, more expensive, no self-pours.

  5. Definitely not a wine bar, but [Pieroth Japan](https://www.pieroth.jp/events/) puts on [wine outlet sale events](https://www.pieroth.jp/events/yk-springtasting-2023317-19) where you can taste dozens of wines for a small fee of a few thousand yen. I think they are mainly directed towards people stocking up for events, but it is basically a no-time-limit all-you-can-drink if you aren’t too sheepish to ask for another glass or get out of a sales pitch.

The one I linked is 40 different wines for 2,000 yen – but unfortunately already sold out.

  6. There’s “Wine hall glamour” in Ginza nanpa street area. All you can drink self serve. It’s fun but the wines are nothing good. Kind of what you’d expect from a wine all you can drink.

  7. Forget the name but will come up if searched. It is a yakiniku place in Yoyogi (right next to minami shinjuku station) which has a wine nomihoudai and all the wines are in wooden kegs that you go up and help yourself too. Bit pricey but very tastey.

Edit – its called conroya コンロ家
