Air quality Japan vs S. Korea

Hey all,

I’m considering moving to either Japan or South Korea, 99% it will be Japan.

I have an important question.

I’m not very comfortable about earthquakes, but everything else of Japan it’s just a pleasure to me.

I do like South Korea, but nothing comparable to Japan, but they do not have severe earthquake as in Japan, and that is a big plus.

The problem with South Korea is the air quality, which is awful, and I wanted to know how much better is the air in Tokyo vs Seoul. From my observation the difference is huge in favour of Tokyo, eager to listen to your experience and opinions. Thanks

  1. If you’re from the US, on top of yellow dust, you’ll also start to lose your hair (women included) because the water in Korea is so hard
