Getting medicines into Japan – Do I need Yunyu Kakunin-sho for prescription eyedrops?

I had my Lasik done and have been prescribed some eyedrops. I was thinking to get 4-5 months supply (4-5 bottles, each 10ml) into Japan, but I read on https://www.mhlw.go.jp/english/policy/health-medical/pharmaceuticals/01.html that I will need Yunyu Kakunin-sho to get this quantity.
Do customs strictly check for this or just prescription might do? If I do apply for this certificate how many days does it take to get it on email?

Yes, they do. Any abnormally large amount of pharmaceuticals or medical supplies is going to result in them asking for your forms.

About a week. They say “a few business days”, but better to assume a week-ish.
