Which app do you use to organize shadowing audio files? And be able to play it while reading using mobile phone

So I have audio files from various books and ebooks. I tried just copy pasting the mp3 files in the phone folder and it was a total mess (with itunes/Apple music).

I would like to organize it in a good audio player app and be able to play the audio while reading the ebook, in the same device.

Which app do you use?

Main priority is it should be able use on multitasking (playing the audio while i am on a book reading app) but it would be a bonus if there are options to rewind/go back for 10 seconds and be able to choose the playing speed.

(looking for ios app recommendations…)

  1. I just use [nPlayer](https://nplayer.com/) on my iPhone/iPad. Even though it’s a (terrific) video player app, I primarily use it for audio files. I have the paid version (I think it’s called nPlayer Plus).

It’s got its own network browser, so I just organize my audio files in folders on my PC, and stream it to nPlayer on my iPhone.

Optionally, it can download the files to your phone too, if you want to keep a copy of the file. You also can access files in the cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc), or via FTP. Since nPlayer can also access your phone’s folders, you can use iOS’s Files app to grab files too.

You can make custom playlists, but I often use the automatically-generated “recently played” playlist to find the my most recent audio files.

You can vary the playback speed, and it has two buttons next to the play button that will rewind, or go forward, in 10 second intervals. You can also swipe right or left to do the same thing, but in even larger intervals, depending on how long you swipe.

And yep, you can play it the file in the background, so you can multitask.

At night, I’ll listen to JP audiobooks or podcasts as I go to sleep. I play the audio file on nPlayer, then I’ll use my iPhone’s Clock app (under the Timer tab) to stop playback after 30 minutes as I’m usually asleep by then.

  2. With VLC player you can transfer audio files from your pc to iphone. Try a quick google search, you can find tutorial online easily.
