Music can be a valuable study/input source!

I’ve heard the rather popular opinion of music being a poor source of input quite a lot during my Japanese learning journey.

While I don’t at all think it should be your *main* source of study/immersion, it had often been my saving grace when my burnout had seemingly reach its limit.
It’s even quite rewarding when you recognize a word from your studies/immersion in a song!

So I encourage you to ignore the naysayers and listen to your favorite genres in Japanese!
Especially when listening to music in your native language can feel so counter-productive.

If you’re a hip-hop/rap fan and haven’t explored that scene in Japanese, [checkout my Spotify playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5uV8PIGRCAfashy1lck0tP?si=8f8edeb6b6294836).

And if you have any playlists of your own, please share’em!

  1. I find it as a great supplement if you don’t really want to study but still want to know what the lyrics are saying while learning new kanji along the way

  2. Apple Music has Karaoke mode now and it’s super useful but you gotta figure out the kanji on your own as there’s no furigana. That’s also great practice imo

  3. Learn lyrics from my favourite songs is always an easy way for me to learn new words, since I can recall their pronunciation and meanings from listening to the songs so much
