  2. Look up “Japanese stroke order” on Google. The “Japanese” is not optional. Different regions that use kanji have their own set of rules, so the rules used in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan wouldn’t perfectly align.

  3. I have a good app called Kanji Study, its on android idk about ios but if you make a one off payment it unlocks a lot of features. For example, you can make custom sets of kanji. I use a book Understanding through pictures 1000 kanji, then when I have learned it in the book I add it to my custom set on the app.
    You can test not just your writing but also reading of kanji through this app, highly recommend

  4. There is a [Tofugu article](https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/kanji-stroke-order/) that explains it quite clearly

    The basic rule are

    * Top to bottom and left to right
    * Horizontal before vertical
    * Center vertical before symmetrical outside
    * Square shapes are always in three strokes
    * One radical at a time
    * Bottom part a the end

    First, practice on the most frequent radicals. Once you’ll unlock these, you’ll also be able to read handwriting more easily
