It’s similar to Go To campaign, excepted it’s limited to travelling in your prefecture only. So if you live in Tokyo, you can only use this discount when travelling within Tokyo itself. Say, you want to stay in Takao area, then you can get the discount. Want to stay in Yokohama? No discount.
Foreigners can use this no problem.
I looked into it to, but it seems to be only until the end of July. I’m interested in traveling in August. Anyone out there heard of an extension, for Tokyo in particular (where it’s called “tomin wari”)?
