Once agsin school bullshit?

I’m in language school and graduation is fast approaching.

Today the school posted the following:

“To students who are going to pursue further education or start working in Japan

“If you are going to pursue further education or start working in Japan after graduating or leaving this school, you will need to submit the following document 「活動機関に関する届出(離脱と移籍)」 to the immigration within 14 days from the last day of school.”

Does anyone know if this is true or is this another one of those ‘ YOU MUST LEAVE THE COUNTRY 2 WEEKS AFTER GRADUATION/ BEFORE YOUR VISA RUNS OUT’ situations?

I have seen schools telling all kinds of stuff to their students that isn’t true. Do anyone have any experience with this?

Edit post:

1. I’m waiting for a result if I got accepted into an university (and don’t know if I’ll get to know within 2 weeks)

2. I’m on a self sponsored student visa. As in I have been approved as I got enough money until the end of my visa. Visa got more than enough time left.

I don’t know about the 2 weeks, but I am pretty sure the “LEAVE BEFORE YOUR VISA RUNS OUT” is true.

    This is true too though…

The “truth” and the “situation” you describe do not seem to be in opposition.

  4. This is another one of those “I am right because I don’t care what the actual rules and laws are” posts

  5. here we go, another student who didnt pay attention to their orientation, and didnt even think about looking for a job 2 days before graduation.

  6. Unlike work residence statuses where you can stay for a while even if you quit, students statuses do run out upon graduation. The best you can do is apply for a tokuteikatsudo while you are waiting for your next school or job.

  7. No one has commented on the waiting to get accepted but is this for an April 1 matriculation? Your new school will not touch your visa with a stick until it is time for your to attend.

  8. It is not usually conceivable that the date of the acceptance announcement has not been set. Please hurry and check. Even if you have been accepted, you will not be able to enroll if you do not complete the procedures within the time frame.

  9. Mine was threatening us to have it lined up before graduation day. I knew it was illegal of them but I still took the first humiliating job offer I got. I’m still suffering the consequences of having it on my resume, and one of the other students offed himself over it.
