UK Passport Renewal

Hi

My passport expires in June.

Has anyone ever had to renew their passport whilst on the jet programme?

I contacted the UK JET programme and they said to contact the embassy/consulate in Japan.

I asked the consulate in Japan and they said to check the gov website.

I have looked on the gov website and it says I can renew my passport online, all I do then is send my old passport back to UK and they will send me a new one.

But what happens to the Japan entry stamp in the old passport? Do I need it?

I know I don’t need the visa thing as I now have a resident card.

But if I want to go back to the UK for a holiday and come back to Japan will there be any issues?

If anyone has any experience or knows anything please let me know!
