Bouncing around Tokyo-Kyoto-Tokyo! (13 Days)

Third time’s the charm, this time I’ll be going with my parents and brother! It’s my parents’ first time (brother will be catching up on the second half of the trip) and I’d like to take advantage of the sakura season and show them around while hitting some usual spots.

I did tell them to anticipate a lot of walking and the itinerary tapers near the end, to account for rest days or if we just need to catch up. I hope I didn’t put too many activities per day and I also wouldn’t want to rush them while they enjoy the sights.

Staying near Ginza for our first Tokyo stay and my brother will be covering the Kyoto schedule so that’ll be his show. Marked off some food places to hit but I told them that you can’t really go wrong with food in Japan.

* Any feedback on the sakura festivals I placed, as well as Meguro River? Enjoying a stroll under the trees would be nice, but I’m curious what activities are available on those areas.
* The Kamakura Festival that I went to on my first visit was great and I would like to take them to a similar event if there are any available. If you have any suggestions where to go it’d be very appreciated.

  1. Love this kind of post, simple and easy to follow unlike those overly detailed itineraries. Also, I travel like this, just have the list of major places to visit and will visit whenever i feel ready。
