Visa Form and Guarantor Reference

Hello all.

I have the COE letter from my employer in Japan ( Rakuten ). I’ve no family in there.

While applying for a Visa application they ask for Guarantor Reference details.

What should I add? Does that mean adding details about the company?

I don’t think I should put company details in there, they also asking for immigration status and all.

Should I book tickets and Hotel prior to Visa?

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,

  1. For me, it was the details of the school. So I assume it is the same. You put the details of the company.
At the consulate/embassy they will ask for the flight information. I recommend to book a flight 2-3 weeks from your appointment.

  2. Yeah, for me it was the school’s principal’s info. You have to put an actual person since they ask for DoB and stuff. Talk to your company!

Ask your company. They can guide you.

You don’t have to. All time frames and airplanes etc are just estimates. Address is often the company, if you don’t have an apartment yet.

Your company would probably be able to answer that as well. Some companies do that for you, not sure about Rakuten. Personally I wouldn’t book until I had the CoE at least.

  4. I literally have the exact same question. My start date for Rakuten in Japan is July 1.
I reached out to Rakuten about these questions already and they said to contact your local embassy…
