I want to create vocab lists according to theme

Does anyone know a way/app where I can mine words from articles I’m reading according to theme/topic. If it could somehow be integrated into Renshuu (which is the top app I use to study) or any other app so that I can keep seeing those words, that would be great.

For eg, I’m reading an article about a failed rocket launch. Want to create a list of words that are specific to space/launch etc. and keep adding to it.

I’m not looking for already created lists. Need a way to make and study my own theme-oriented lists.

(Want to eventually get into translation)

  1. Your requirements are:

    1. You want word lists separated by topic

    2. You want to be able to create the lists yourself using vocab you mine online

    3. You want to be able to look at the list you made at any time

You *could* use anki for this. You can tag each card any way you want and create decks or lists to browse. Then you can SRS them later if you want.

But just based on what you want to do I’d say the app for this is Notepad++ Create a new document called “MyWordLists” and put some text in there, a new heading for each list you want.

Then use the tab key to create some columns. Create a column for the word in Japanese, a column for the word in English, and maybe a column for if it is TRANS/INTRANS or whatever other grammar note it needs.

You could look at this list whenever you want and also you could print it.

    A spreadsheet also could work.
