Has anyone used YOLO japan for part time?

I just came across an ad for working in Japan. They have a whole system for students and I’m interested in applying. Has anyone heard of this yet or even tried? Seems too good to be true especially with all the jobs they have listed.

  1. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘too good to be true’?

They’re curating various sources of jobs and picking out ones that do not have stringent language requirements.

Just keep in mind, if the job itself is not capable of sponsoring you for a work visa you’re going to need another status of residence that allows you to work. Like, if you’re a student… it means a student at a school in Japan already with a ‘student’ status of residence that allows you to work part time.

They’re not going to help you get a visa so that you can work part time at a pub in Osaka.

  2. If you’re concerned with whether YOLO Japan is a legit company, it is.

However, it’s just a job listing service through which you can apply for open positions at various companies.

They’re a service that was started specifically help companies find foreign part-time workers.

They recently also started services to help foreigners learn about working in Japan (work culture, manners, etc.). If company’s list their open positions using this service, the listing fee is a bit cheaper so you may find positions that are not listed on their regular site.

I’ve never used the service personally, This is just my understanding from what I’ve been told by their sales representatives when my company was considering using their service a while back. (I do HR work)
