I understand certain conditions are not allowed for students to work In places that serve alcohol and “entertainment” is not allowed, what kind of entertainment does this specifically mean? as far as I am aware as long as the main focus of the premises is not alcohol then it is usually okay, I am looking to work at a comedy bar, where obviously their main selling point is the comedy but they also serve alcohol and snacks like general bar snacks and toasties, there are no options for bartenders to sit with customers and thelight levels between sets are generally quite high.
I know this seems like it could be on the grey area but I’m not entirely sure

Check what kind of business license they have.
If they are categorized or authorized to operate as a 風俗営業 then they are off limits. If not, then most likely OK.
