Is this a good Japanese tategaki converter?

https://webdva.github.io/tategaki/ here’s the link to the site. I’m trying to translate a comic my friend made, I’m hand writing all of this text down, either way, I’m attempting to translate the text so that japanese readers can enjoy as well. So is this website good for converting? Or will it fuck up the grammar of the text horrendously.

  1. Can’t you format it to display vertically on the comic instead of converting it separately?

  2. It will give off “this is just another garbage t-shirt design on r/translator” vibes, as “。” is placed in the wrong quadrant.
Also, “縦書きに横書き変えるの道具” and “これは縦書きに横書き変えるの奉仕です。” doesn’t exactly say *I know a lot about the Japanese language to the point I can make an accurate tool*.

What’s keeping you away from using stuff like Word? They support vertical writing natively.

  3. It gives every single possible mistake. The position of small Kana and punctuation, the rotation of ー and 「」, every 6 (or the number you chose) characters unnecessarily start new lines even if it starts with a punctuation, and any half size of characters (space, alphabets, indention, etc.) brake the result.

The code is [here](https://webdva.github.io/i-made-a-vertical-japanese-writing-service/), and basically it’s not vertical writing. It just rearranges the order of characters and displays it in horizontal writing.

    It just does this

    >あなたは美しいです。あなたは素晴らしいです。

    to this.

    >い た い あ
    >
    >で は で な
    >
    >す 素 す た
    >
    >。 晴 。 は
    >
    > ら あ 美
    >
    > し な し

I don’t mean “something like this”. It literally does this.
