Looking for advice on standup desk

Hi all, I’m working from home and would like to mix sitting and standing. Can anyone recommend a standup desk that sits on top of the desk and lifts on demand? Thank you.

  1. I got the electric standing desk from Ikea over 2 years ago and I don’t regret it. Amazing quality and works like it should.

  2. Got a flexispot 2 years ago and love it, although i end up sitting most of the time

  3. I got a flexispot and it’s not very stable. Got it online without trying first and regret it now. I recommend going to the store and trying it before you buy.

  4. Do not get one with a manual crank. Get an electric one with a motor. If you have to turn a handle each time you raise or lower it, you will probably find it’s not worth the bother.

  5. I got a cheap one off Amazon. Brand says “relaxwork” but they’re probably all from the same factory just with a different badge.

Paid 33k for mine back in late 2021. They’re still on Amazon now for just under 40k. Looks identical to the Flexispot ones but of course I cannot compare directly. Also pretty quiet operation.

  6. [If you don’t mind pre-owned tables and the size you’re looking for is in stock, any of the Okamura or Kokuyo standing desks being sold right now on Officebusters have better electric motors, build quality, and stability than anything you can get new for the same price.](https://www.officebusters.com/kensaku/index_k.php?st=&l=2&m=39&s=204&k=&tenpo=&maker=&condition_rank=&color=&amount=&kakaku_min=&kakaku_max=&dc=3&d_size=&h_size=&w_size=&tag_id=&series_id=&mrk=&f_func=&g_size=&cassette=&counter_num=&compound_machine_mono_per_minute=&compound_machine_color_per_minute=&launch_year=&view_mode=&pageNum_kensaku=1&cbl=&cbm=&cbs=&level=s)
