  1. I’ve noticed 10 white eggs go up from ¥168 to ¥178 to ¥198 and now the only ones available (brown not white) are ¥230 something

  2. Thing is that I’ve not seen less supply of eggs. Just an increase in price. Sooo?

  3. Cool, I’ve been wondering when we’d get a chance to join in with the egg memes.

  4. We just had the same thing happened to us in America so we absolutely have empathy for you. Eggs went from $2-$3 to upwards of $10 a dozen (the average near me was $6-$7/dz)

  5. The place I go to for eggs hasn’t raised their prices at all but they are semi-premium eggs.

We did go there one day and they didn’t have a delivery so we couldn’t get any but since then every time we’ve gone they’ve had a decent supply.

Maybe this is because they are a smaller operation than the big egg farms?

Also, I can count on Chabo-chan to lay an egg every other day or so!

  6. Bird flu … I wonder how it can spread so fast through farms where birds are stacked like boxes
