Problem communicating with the Italian Consulate in Osaka

Hey guys. I’m Indonesian living in Osaka and have been planning to go to Italy this coming of April.

I’ve managed to book an appointment on March 3rd and went to apply for the visa. Unfortunately, there was a problem regarding my name in my passport so I have been asked to get an additional document from my embassy to clarify it and book another appointment after I got the document.

After more than a week of exchanging emails with my embassy I finally got my document and sent an email to the Italian Consulate to book another appointment, hopefully by March 24th which is almost exactly three weeks before my departure date at April 15. I mentioned three weeks because that is the latest required to present your documents to apply for the visa.

So this is probably where I fucked up. I sent them an email since Wednesday March 15 and expected a reply the next day at least (they have been very quick to reply emails before then)
Didn’t get a reply. Okay, so I thought to send another one… and did so again continuously till today at Monday March 20

Last week on Friday March 17 I called to the Consulate several times and finally got a decent answer by the visa officer. They told me that they’ll check my email that I sent that day but didn’t ask for more info. I asked if they wanted my name but they said no… Waited till today March 20th and got no reply. Sent an email that morning just in case, I thought…

Called several times to the Consulate again today and no one picked up the phone. The last call I did, after it rung once it instantly changed to an automated message.

Honestly, the moment when they told me to get another document I lost all hope of going cause booking takes awhile. I expected an email saying they don’t have any slots available, but I didn’t even get that as a reply so I thought I should just push a bit more for an appointment instead of saying nothing and being forgotten. I think my calls and my emails had pissed them off to the point where they’re not replying to my messages anymore…

I’m afraid of trying to contact them again in fear of angering them further. So do I just hopefully wait for a reply before the 24th or just suck it up and cancel the whole trip while I’m at it :’)
