I pass this building frequently and love it – it looks wacky, mad, excessive and something that Gru (Despicable Me) would live in. Always assumed it is a private residence and never thought anything more.
However, every now and again there are protestors outside it. There was one yesterday from people with flags from Pakistan. So my curiosity got the better of me and I googled it to come up with [this](https://theprint.in/world/26-11-anniversary-protest-reaches-pak-embassy-in-tokyo-people-demand-action-against-protectors-of-terrorists/1237963/) (news article) and in the picture on the article they are standing [here](https://goo.gl/maps/6Kzbi6ZtYfTwq2Nw8) (gmaps), but that is not the Pakistan embassy (which is a block away). Surely the protestors don’t keep protesting outside the wrong building.. so what is it?

According [to this blog](https://www.freetimeslog.com/2016/07/50.html?m=1), it’s the home of Toshio Motoya, APA Group president, and well known WWII revisionist. The latter may be the reason for the protests.
