Planning on buying a condo in Chiba new town

I’m entertaining the idea of buying a condo in Chiba new town; any foreigners living/lived there, how is/was the experience?
The place seems ideal for a mid class family

  1. I’m interested, tell me more! Do you have links or references to the project?

  2. The train line is possibly the most expensive line in Japan. It’s a nice enough area, but you’ll likely need a car to do things like going to the super market.

It might be called Chiba New Town, but it’s in Inzai City and is actually quite rural. So things like going to the city hall, schools for kids and general services can be troublesome to get or do.

All in all, it’s a nice place that has everything you might need, but without the hustle of city life. While at the same time it’s too built up to really be called the country side anymore.

  3. I live just north of there and go to the area regularly by car.

I like it. You’ve got a Joyful Honda, an AEON, shops covering almost everything you need (there’s a Costco tucked away a bit too). What I like is as it’s semi rural, the area never seems to get massively crowded, even on weekends. (Can’t speak for Costco though!) There’s some decent parks and greenery around too.

The train line is the most expensive, which could be a dealbreaker. But if you work in Tokyo and get a pass, that could take the sting off a little bit.
