I really enjoy Japanese music but whenever I look up translations of songs they never say what each word means so I can never truly understand each word. I decided to try to make a translation page for a simple song where you can hover over the romaji to see the meaning of each word. You can actually learn words this way.
What do you think? Anyone else like this?

I’ve said this before, but full translations are — more or less — for people who aren’t learning. We language learners aren’t a priority, so if the translation helps us out, it’s more of a happy accident. That’s why people don’t suggest watching content with English subtitles even if it were a non-poetic, straightforward everyday conversation.
if you install a popup dictionary (such as yomichan) and hover over the text, it’ll give you a dictionary definition of what each word means
(ah that song you linked, I listen to it sometimes, it’s a good song)
Languages don’t work like that. Sure, knowing the words in isolation might help, but that’s not how language really works. Context helps.
This is just Yomichan but inferior if it only applies to romaji.
