I’m in the midst of planning a trip to Japan with my brother – both mid-twenties and active. Was hoping to get some thoughts on the first cut of our itinerary as we build it to make sure we’re not wildly off on anything in terms of what to see, if order/locations make sense, etc. Let us know if there’s something missing that is a must do! **ITINERARY**
**TOKYO LEG**
* **Day 1 (Shinjuku)**: Arrive at 3pm, get settled.
* **Day 2 (Asakusa/Sumida/Ueno)**: Ikebukuro, Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree, Ameyoko Market
* **Day 3 (Shibuya/Harajuku)**: Explore Shibuya, Shibuya Crossing, Takeshka Dori, Yoyogi Park, Meiji Shrine, Azabujuban, dinner at an Izakaya.
* **Day 4 (Akihabara)**: Full day.
* **Day 5 (Day Trip to Kamakura/Enoshima)**: Great Buddha of Kamakura, Hasedera Temple, Western Hill Trail, Enoshima Shrine, Enoshima Sea Candle
* ***Will we have enough time to stop in Yokohama for dinner in Chinatown?***
* **Day 6 (Akihabara)**: TBD
* ***Open to suggestions.***
* **Day 7 (Day Trip to Nikko)**: Toshogu Shrine, Kammangafuchi Gorge, Kegon Falls, Shinkyo Bridge, Chuzenji Temple
* **Day 8 (Tokyo):** TBD
* **Day 9 (Tokyo):** TBD

**FUJI LEG**
* **Day 10 (Mt. Fuji):** Climb, sleep on mountain.
* ***Which trail is best if we want to go to Hakone after? Seems to be Gotemba to me but I’m not sure if it’s a bad trail to hike Fuji on for our first time.***
* **Day 11 (Mt. Fuji/Hakone):** Watch sunrise from peak, stop at Odawara Castle en route to Hakone, Hakone Open Air Museum.
* **Day 12 (Hakone):** Hakone Loop minus Open Air Museum.

**KYOTO/OSAKA LEG**
* **Day 13 (Kyoto):** Kiyomizudera, Ginkakuji, Higashiyama, Kyoto National Museum
* **Day 14 (Osaka):** Hanshin Tigers game, rest of day TBD.
* **Day 15 (Kyoto):** Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, Kokedera
* **Day 16 (Kyoto/Osaka):** TBD
* **Day 17 (Osaka):** Universal Studios Japan
* **Day 18 (Kyoto/Osaka):** TBD

**SOUTHERN JAPAN LEG**
* **Day 19 (Hiroshima):** Peace Park, Hiroshima Castle, Downtown Hiroshima
* **Day 20 (Miyajima Island):** Itsukushima Shrine, Daisho-in Temple, climb Mount Misen.
* **Day 21-25 (Ishigaki Island/Yaeyama Islands):** TBD.
