I just got a job offer from a small game company for English localization. I think I’m the first foreigner this company has ever hired so I’m pretty sure they have no idea what they are doing. lol.
I am currently under an instructor visa, and I’m guessing I’ll need to change its status before I start working there. Has anyone gone through a change of VISA status before? Any advice?

You might get more advice if you ask on /r/japanlife but the best person to ask would be an immigration lawyer. If you don’t know any in your area, I would start Googling, or ask any friends or acquaintances if they know a good one. Initial consultation is usually free, and they usually only charge if you have them help you out with the status change application or other bureaucratic stuff.
