To those who got invited for the CIR position, what is your JLPT level?

Currently, I only “officially” have the N3. I took the N2 in December. I can already imagine myself messing up on the Japanese portion. Need to practice and study more!

  1. i interviewed and got accepted as a CIR before i passed N2 (i had no JLPT at the time). the reading test of the japanese interview was somewhere between N2-N3 level and wasn’t so bad, plus i was also able to show my speaking level. as long as you’re close to N2 you should have a shot

  2. I also interviewed and was shortlisted before I had taken JLPT. I would guess at the time I was mid N2 level although my reading skills were the strongest which worked to my advantage. I had a few basic questions in Japanese but the article and related questions was the primary part of the Japanese portion
