NGL, learning kanji this way just seems weird and inefficient.
Even for a ‘kanji of the day’ setup, why the hell are you going with 便? 便 is a perfect example of a kanji that you really *need* to learn as part of vocabulary, not in isolation, because despite showing up early in 便利 and 郵便, the pronunciation changes depending on the meaning.
There is a reason most people recommend learning vocab over individual kanji.
