Itinerary Check for 12 Day Solo Trip?

Hey all – 24M here, I went forward with booking for **the end of April, to May**. I drew up a rough itinerary – there’s some blank spaces as I’m trying to figure out how to fill it out more, so I’m open to any suggestions!

I’m looking for fun experiences, beautiful sights and most of all meeting great people – so planning on doing a hostel. Only dilemma with that is I was curious…should I book a hostel only a few days, then maybe a hotel the rest of the trip in each respective location? I heard you can easily fall into a crowd in a hostel, so even though I wanted to lock in a place to stay ahead of time, I also didn’t wanna potentially close myself off from experiences.

  1. Will probably need to update us on your dates as end of April to May is near Golden Week period and you will be competing with not only fellow tourists but also the locals in terms of transportation and accommodation.

If possible, try to make it that you are in Tokyo during Golden week and avoid cross country traveling. Kyoto and Osaka will be crowded on top of how crowded it already is. Make sure you book all your activities asap as well.
