Can haken quit in the middle of contract?

My partner has been haken for a year or more at the same place and has recently renewed for 6 months.

She got a new interesting opportunity but they’d like her to start in June.

Can she quit a haken job in the middle of the contract (after 2 months out 6)?

  2. Yes, one can. You’d probably need to give month notice.
    Try not to burn the bridge with the current employer. Negotiate the exit as soon as you have an assurance the next job is lined up. Don’t commit to a start date with the next job before you confirm the end date with the current one.
    Most employers’ are very understanding of the career and financial needs of employees’ (doesn’t mean they’ll always meet the since there are competing needs).
