  1. What a nice but bittersweet story. How much effort they seem to have put into giving her a proper education and student experience.

On the other hand bitter if you think about how lonely it must be to be the only child on an island without classmates. Also that the school now shuts down and will probably never reopen.

  2. I would definitely milk this one for all it has in my CV if that was my situation.

    “Top student in my school”
“President and Secretary of the Student Body Council”
“Best overall athlete in class of 2023”

  3. That is incredible. In America 🇺🇸 this would never happen. The amount of effort and resources devoted to a lone student’s education.

  4. What an unusual experience. She seems happy in her photos but it must have been lonely.

On the flip side there’s a lot of negative “normal school” experiences she probably got to skip. I imagine she’ll be playing a lot of catch up in high school, learning how to interact with classmates.

  5. From reading the article, it was fortunately not too depressing for her as once a week she would leave the island and join as an exchange student and she was a school representative so she visited different places.

  6. sound like a thriller anime plot or a really wholesome yet existential crisis slice of life
