I plan on moving to japan at 23.Is it possible?

I plan on moving to japan when i am 23 years of age.
Currently i am a 16 year old living in Slovenia, i attend secondary school of gastronomy and hotel management
I am learning the Japanese language aswell as the history, culture and cutoms of Japan
aswell as researching the things i need to know before moving to japan
my question is if it is possible for a 23 year old to move to japan and start a life there?
How expensive is it?
Could a young slovenian find work in japan?

  2. Hotels generally need polyglots working front of house to help accommodate international guests. Asian languages would probably be more marketable but English is definitely in the top 10 (maybe not the top 5 though). You’ll need to make sure your Japanese is at a professional level however and not rely on just knowing foreign languages.

Are you planning on completing your post-secondary education there in Europe or would you be trying to get your university education in Japan? If you’re thinking about Japan check out JASSO’s ‘StudyInJapan’ page for some useful information – [https://www.studyinjapan.go.jp/en/planning/about-scholarship/](https://www.studyinjapan.go.jp/en/planning/about-scholarship/) as an example

  3. If your concern is just Age thing it’s definitely possible, because i did, but my background is relatively easier to go through since it’s IT. Not sure about your line of work.

About money i bring 120k yen cash (not counting rent cost because i paid them via transfer, 80k yen per month), and i can survive 2 months just fine (i can even go out to eat alone once a month). Can definitely be lower especially if you cook your food and stuff but i don’t think by that much since i’m a hermit and i rarely go out so i’m pretty cheap.

    Hope this helps!
