I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some resources where I can read up on why contemporary Japanese homes are laid out the way they are. Particularly in respect to things like bathrooms and how they’re mostly broken out into individual components. How much of it is cultural perceptions and preferences and how much of it is just efficiency considerations that may have popped up with large post-warb home construction companies
