Nihongo no mori contents and payment

Hi guys,

i have some questions regarding nihongo no mori course and website.

I heard they have a lot of resources for n1 and n2 level but there are fewer lessons for n3. I just finished Tobira and i was wondering if subscribing to their course was the right thing to do at my current level or if it’s better to search for something else.

Do you think it’s worth the price? how was your experience with the course?

Also one last question, i have some doubts about the Paypal payment method.

How does this process work? I was reading that i need to send a payment to their email address and then to send them also a receipit of th epayment, and after that they will activate the course.

But how they can activate me the course if they don’t even have my username or email address? Maybe it’ s a stupid question and i am just missing something, but if someone already did this process it would be nice if they can explain it to me, thank you! 🙂

  1. I believe the N3 content is complete now. They worked their way down from N1 so older comments will have been written when N3 still didn’t even have all the sections in place etc., but I think now it’s all there.

Note that another change is that you don’t get to download the books anymore. They stopped offering them to subscribers a while ago, now there’s only previews.

Quality wise I really like their videos. I do think that learning kanji from videos is not the most efficient way. On the other hand, in particular the grammar videos have been a huge help.

For me it was worth the price, but it sucks that the monthly subscription is so expensive now. That’s the main thing that makes it difficult for me to recommend – if you just want to try it out to see if it works for you or not, that’s way too expensive now.

Since I used a credit card I don’t know how paypal payments work. But I’m assuming you’re supposed to tell them your account name and/or e-mail address you used to register on their web site when you send the proof of payment…
