I will be going to Japan next month as an high school international student and was thinking about starting self studying korean there too. Does anyone know any good Korean textbook written in japanese? I’ve heard about one called できる韓国語 though this one seems to have a really slow pace and I was looking for something more like the Genki series

Sorry if it’s not much help, but I also just started studying Korean after taking Japanese for a while. I don’t know of any textbooks, but I do have a tip! When learning vocabulary or grammar, try translating it to Japanese instead of your native language. For example, 안녕하세요 = こんにちは or 자고 싶어요 = 寝たいです. That way you’re kinda learning Korean through Japanese. I’m sure someone else will have better recs, but I just wanted to throw that out there 🙂
How’s your Japanese?
Because once you get past the most beginner points you’ll need to understand Japanese grammar terms.
If you feel that your Japanese is good enough, then I really suggest going to a bookstore and just flipping through the books, that’s what I’ve done.
There are SO MANY Korean books, some aimed at self-study, basically there’s enough choice to find one that matches what you want.
That’s an amazing idea. I have also been studying Japanese in Korean. My advice is to search かんこく べんきょうほん that’ll give you a list of all materials.
