Question about vaccination and traveling back to Japan (kinda urgent)

Hey guys,

I just figured out that me and my wife have not done my third dose and this could be a problem for returning to Japan.

I just read that I need to complete a [Fastpass](https://www.hco.mhlw.go.jp/en/) registration which will be required at the airport which clearly says that I need 3 doses. We need to travel to Korea next Monday.

As I understand we can do a PCR in Korea, 72 hour before departure, however we would really like to avoid that. This means that probably I need to maybe get vaccinated in the next few days and I really don’t know if that is even possible. I believe I need a vaccination ticket or something that I do not have with me. Do you think it is possible to speed up this process and just get the shot somewhere to get that certificate? I live in Fukuoka.

Thanks a million!

  1. Getting a booster shot should be pretty easy, as the other poster said, but depending on how long you’re staying in Korea, the PCR may be unavoidable – the course of vaccination is only considered complete 14 days after the last shot, and afaik that’s what the FastPass system will base its calculation on. If your third shot was less than 14 days ago it won’t count yet, so you’ll still need a PCR test for entry.
