I read somewhere the New York pool of applicants have it harder is this true?

Apparently the acceptance process for NY is intense and “brutal.” I’m just curious to know if this is true? It was a bit concerning reading it. Any confirmation or debunking would be much appreciated.

  1. disagree. maybe the interview ‘feels’ harder, but ehh. I felt the office was fairly friendly and accommodating, all things considered.

  2. New York is just the most competitive because we have the most applicants of all consulates, likely due to population reasons.

  3. AFAIK there’s no data on how many people get accepted vs rejected for JET, per location or otherwise, but I guess people might have anecdotal experience
