Please let me know if this sounds like a good plan. We are landing on April 5th and leaving on the 18th. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 7 and 12.

Arrive at NRT. Get to Tokyo station to board Shinkansen for Kyoto. Send luggage with Taqbin, get Wi-Fi etc. Arrive at hotel in Kyoto. Sleep for the night.
6th
We have this one day before we are meeting with up with friends to start the fun !!

Travel to Hokone and do Mount Fuji 5 lakes area. Is this worth going to or spend time in Tokyo. We live in Seattle so a tall glaciated mountain is not something new.

Is this itinerary doable? Need to figure out restaurants and street food places.
For 6th, options are we better of spending more time in Kyoto or Osaka. We have one day in Osaka. Is Kobe worth going to ?

What time do you land on the 5th? Are your kids used to long plane rides? The logistics of clearing customs, sending your luggage, getting your WiFi, getting the 3 hour train all seem like a lot to me, especially with two kids in tow. Because you have the spaciousness I would honestly consider staying in Tokyo the day you arrive, then heading to Kyoto the next day.
