So I have question, I am attempting to memorize N5 vocabulary (list from mlc)
And of course it’s all in kana. The issue is that I have a slightly deeper understanding of Japanese now, where I really appreciate kanji in vocabulary because it makes it so much easier to read. (Still don’t like kanji though)
So, do I learn this basic N5 list as kana As intended? Or it as learn kanji?
Essentially, I want to take the N5 in the future but I’m worried that learning the kanji will case me to miss-read vocabulary because I’m used to kanji
(And I end up mixing up my kana vocabulary words)

I’ve been told by several Japanese speakers that the N5 is quite easy and you won’t learn much while you’re studying for it. Have you considered maybe going for the N4 instead? It might be what you’re looking for.
